SynchroCity launches everywhere simultaneously — it works anywhere two devices running the app are within Bluetooth range. Cities with more signups will have a denser mesh from day one, which is why picking your city on the waitlist matters.
SynchroCity uses Bluetooth Low Energy — the same low-power technology behind fitness trackers and AirTags — so it is designed to be light on your battery by construction. Background scanning is throttled to keep typical daily drain small, and a Power Management setting lets you tune scan aggressiveness (aggressive for events, balanced for daily use, conservative for long trips). Real numbers will be published as physical-device testing completes; if we find the app is a battery hog on any device, we will say so.
No. Your resonance profile, personality inferences, glyph history, and behavioral fingerprint stay on your device. They are never uploaded to a server, never sold to advertisers, never shared with third parties, and never used to train models. When two devices exchange resonance information during a mutual encounter, that exchange is end-to-end encrypted between the two phones — the relay server only sees ciphertext and rotating beacon IDs.
